[Aide] spaces in filenames

I am trying to use aide on a system that has many files mounted to windows servers, and those users keep creating filenames with spaces in them.  I have a pre-program that searches for all the file names with spaces and then tries to tell aide not to check those --
!this is a file with a space.txt  ;
but it doesn't seem to be able to work with this.  Is it possible to get aide to work around this issue?
thanks,
EJ

Are you trying to exclude those files because you don't want to check
them or because AIDE cannot handle them? Which version of AIDE are you
using?

I am trying to exclude them because it looks like that is where aide is failing -  for instance, if a file is named copy of a.txt,  I will see aide trying to look for a file named copy and not finding it.
My version is Aide 0.14

AIDE should handle filenames with spaces correctly,
with latest AIDE 0.16b1 I get:

Number of entries: 1

---------------------------------------------------
Added entries:
---------------------------------------------------

f++++++++++++++++: /tmp/test/file with spaces.txt

My version is Aide 0.14
Please try latest beta release (0.16b1) and provide more information how
to produce your issue? What OS are you using?

Best regards

Hi,

If you want to exclude files, you need to do it this way:

!/var/adm/utmp$ # ignore the file /var/adm/utmp

I think you need to put absolute urls.
